It’s mildly reminiscent of “Something Beautiful” off Miley’s last album, which is one of my favorite songs of all time. Really digging the brassy / guitar wall of sound. SUCKER for a wall of sound.

Both my Top 40 pophead and experimental / jazz hearts are full.

Rewatched Morocco today. It’s still incredibly difficult to conceive of just how ahead of her time Dietrich really was.

Because of Noir, people often ask who my top five dream interviews would have been. Easy: Dietrich, Janis, Amy, Wendy O, and Gia. Poly Styrene and Tina Bell would have been incredible too.
